Haleigh Cumming’s Father and Misty Croslin Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges

Misty Croslin, left, her ex-husband Ronald Cummings, center, and Hank Croslin, Jr., Misty's brother.

Here’s another case of a missing child that may never be solved. God knows what happened to sweet little Haleigh, who disappeared from her home in the middle of the night a year ago. Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin, the babysitter/girlfriend of Ronald Cummings, and the last person to see Haleigh alive, have both been arrested along with five other people for allegedly selling Oxycodone and Hydrocodone to undercover police officers.

Cummings faces three counts of trafficking prescription medications and is currently in jail with a $500,000 bond. Misty Croslin, Ronald’s now ex-wife, was charged with six counts of trafficking prescription medications. She is also in jail and has a $950,000 bond.

Misty’s brother, Hank Croslin Jr., was also arrested in the sting operation. An undercover Putnam County Detective infiltrated the group, and then gained their trust. Misty Croslin faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years in state prison if she is convicted. Misty’s brother faces three to fifteen years behind bars.

Haleigh was in Misty’s care at the time of her disappearance. Ronald was at work at the time and was cleared as a suspect in the case of the missing child, but Misty Croslin reportedly changed her story about the events that night and allegedly failed a polygraph exam.

Where is little Haleigh?

they should check to see if haleigh was really missing the day of ,,she could have been missing before the night of…..i think ron is as guilty as misty,,i think theres somthing to the party ,an she got into some pills an i believe in my heart ron an misty knows the truth about that child

Hi Margaret, thanks for posting. I think there is something to the party too but I don’t think Ron is in on it. Maybe though. You could be right.

Hi Aleathea and everyone, the only thing i can see would make Misty tell what she knows about Haleigh would be if she had nothing directly to do with what happened to her and could prove it. Otherwise would be stupid to do so as what deal LE could make her for the drug trafficking would be pointless in my thinking as they would just add these new charges and she would not be any better off. Misty’s lawyer of course will continue to tell her to keep her mouth shut. I see Ronald is amused by it all with that laugh on his mug shot. Real Smart guy that Ronald.

Hi Knight Owl. I was thinking that maybe if she has information on Haleigh that doesn’t lead to murder, she might cop a plea. Like maybe whatever happened to Haleigh was an accident, or maybe Misty would admit to being so passed out from drug intake that she doesn’t know what happened, or that she really DID go out that night, left Haleigh alone, and that’s why Haleigh is gone.

I saw Ronald’s smirk. To me, it looks like he is smiling one of those smiles when you are so broken down and tired of life –and all that has happened to you, that you just grin out of feeling like this is the last straw, like “I might as well give up.”

They should take a picture of this bunch and paste it in the dictionary next to “White Trash”. It would say it all………..

  4. Ideas says:

You would think….that Haleigh’s being missing would scare these two into the straight and narrow. They’ve got to know the police have been watching them and every move they make.

But it is to laugh that they both got nabbed through undercover work. Probably wouldn’t take much for the undercover to gain acceptance into their little pill-sales group.

Why am I not surprised about this. I hope someone on this case has the sense once and for all to remove the little boy from the custody of his ‘father.’ Before he disappears too. Seems like both Ron and Misty were raised in households where morality was non-existant and criminal behavior the norm. The little boy doesn’t stand a chance.

I’m sure someone else in the family will take him now. Hopefully, whomever it is, has their life together better than the rest of the family.

It showed Misty being arraigned for the drug charges on JVL. She looked like an old woman with circles under her eyes. I don’t even know if she is 18yrs old yet.

I do not think Haleigh is still alive. I just hope Junior will be taken out of that atmosphere so he will have a chance for a future.

Even tho Ronald has an alibi, I keep an open mind about him. It is just a gut feeling.

She looks like she has been on a drug binge for days. She looks horrible. She was shaking too.

A doctor on Nancy Grace is saying that just two Oxycontin pills could have killed a little girl the size of Haleigh. Remember the anonymous call or letter that came in to the police right after Haleigh went missing? The person said Haleigh died of an accidental Oxycontin overdoes. Seems about right.

  7. Diana says:

Hmmm…Sounds like something LE could use to plea deal with and find out what happened to Haleigh from one or all of these characters. Maybe someone will finally tell the truth to shave a few years off that sentence they are now facing.

  8. aletheamarinanova says:

That would be one scenario, but Haleigh’s case was so publicized, she would have to have been taken out of the country (in order not to be recognized). I don’t think anyone in that family, or any friends, etc. had the money to take on such a mission.

We may never know what happened to her.

    So sad

  9. auntdeedee says:

I just pray that the person, if there is one, who took Haleigh was just getting her out of that family situation. It doesn’t look like there will be a happy ending in this otherwise.

  10. laurali1 says:

I hope they stay behind bars for a very long time, then maybe the little boy will be safe!

  11. eastwood34 says:

Maybe they can offer her a deal if she will come clean about where the child is or what really happened.
