South Carolina–The two women have been arrested for allegedly having sex, drug and alcohol parties for students as young as eleven.
Audrey Beidleman Grabarkiewicz, 44, posted a $25,000 bond earlier in the week, and Sarah Jane Lindsay, 42, was released Thursday on a $50,000 bond. Both women are now on a GPS monitoring system.
The allegations include that the women gave alcohol and marijuana to minors at a “Rave” party in a private home.
Grabarkiewicz, is a former preschool teacher at a Baptist Church, and has been charged with 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Lindsay, a former kindergarten teacher at an Elementary school, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor between 11 and 14 years old, and nine counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. As of Monday, the two teachers are no longer employed by the schools.
Police say that Grabarkiewicz also had sex with one of the students but will not be charged in that offense because the child was over sixteen.
The two women were arrested Monday after an on-going investigation by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, prompted by a parent’s complaint.
Grabarkiewicz’s husband, apparently served his wife with divorce papers while she was waiting to be bailed out of jail. He is seeking total custody of the couple’s three children, ages 12, 9 and 7…. Good for him. These cases often involve a spouse in total denial and they don’t believe the allegations, or a spouse that is so far gone in La-La Land that they say the child abuser spouse merely has a “personality disorder” and “needs help” not prison.
Both women face up to ten years in the state penitentiary.
