“A 39-year-old man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of raping his daughter and taking photographs and video of her while she was nude.
The alleged abuse came to light when the 14-year-old girl mentioned it at school in February.
The man was jailed without bail on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and illegal entry. He also was charged with improper photographing.
The girl told school officials her father first molested her when she was 4 and raped her several times between ages 10 and 11, according to a court document.
Her mother said she didn’t know her daughter had been raped, but she told investigators she once walked in on the defendant touching her daughter’s private area in May 2007, the court record states.
She told investigators that she yelled at him to stop and left the home that night with the girl and her other child but told no one of the abuse.
The mother said she went back to her husband after friends warned her she could lose the children. She said the defendant had denied raping the girl, apologized for the molestation, and promised to change.
But the woman said she caught him a year later with his hand inside her daughter’s shirt, and she began looking for evidence to report him, according to the court document.
Earlier this year, the mother said she discovered nude and half-nude photos and video of her daughter on the man’s computer and cell phone, the arrest warrant affidavit states.
She also said she found a hidden camera in the bathroom clock. She took photographs of these items and advised the girl to report the abuse at school, according to the affidavit.”
The so-called “Parental Alienation Syndrome” and many judges, who award custody to child sexual abusers, have created an atmosphere where an eyewitness to child sexual abuse cannot even ask for help from authorities. The mother feels she has no where to turn except back to the perpetrator. The child feels she is not worth being protected, and the child abuser is virtually given a green light to continue sexually abusing, or even raping the child, because the mother has returned the victim right back to him.
