I just watched an MSNBC documentary on the case. The documentary re-ran moments from the video taken of Casey and George Anthony at the jail. George is seen asking Casey for information about Caylee –anything to help find his granddaughter. Casey is saying to him that she does not know anything, does not know where Caylee is, and does not have any more information. In the next jailhouse video clip, Casey is seen telling George what great grandfather he has been.
This jury did not even take the time to review this VITAL piece of evidence. Casey Anthony did not testify in her trial. She did not take the stand and accuse her father of sexual abuse, or of making an accident look like a murder (a ludicrous theory). But the jury had the jailhouse tapes and this was essential testimony straight from her own mouth. It was also testimony from George Anthony, where the two are talking to each other (Cindy is not around) about where Caylee could be. Where the fuck is the common sense of these 12 jurors? Anyone with two degrees of intelligence can look at those tapes and see that there was no conspiracy between the two. Anyone with common sense can see that CASEY ANTHONY, NOT GEORGE, was the one who controlled that relationship.
The jurors and alternate jurors who have spoken out, say George was “combative” with Baez in his testimony. What the hell did they expect from him? George was accused by Baez of child sexual abuse in the form of forced oral sex on an eight year-old, and of covering up an accident to make it look like a murder. How stupid can this jury have been?
Casey Anthony is a coward who could not even take the stand and accuse her father herself, she instead let her attorney do her dirty work. Yet, she is seen in other parts of those videos as a defiant, angry, resentful, woman who DOES NOT HAVE A VICTIM-LIKE persona. Had the jury taken the extra time -time that Caylee Marie Anthony deserved- to look over those jailhouse tapes again, then they would have come out of their ‘lala land fantasy denial,’ induced by the charismatic Baez, and they would have convicted Casey Anthony of at least manslaughter. Because no one, I repeat no one, makes an accidental death look like a murder, and no one sits in jail for three years (while facing death) without telling anyone that it was all just an accident.
In my opinion, those 12 people did not look at one piece of essential evidence because they had willingly allowed themselves to be mesmerized by a stupid fantasy tale and just wanted to go home after being sequestered for weeks.
Yes, I’m still angry, so what?
