Man Acquitted On Attempted Rape/Sodomy of Girl

Why why why was he found not-guilty? Children rarely lie about sodomy. I would love to know why the jury let him go.

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — “A Baldwin County jury has acquitted a Summerdale man accused of sexually assaulting a child.

Ashley Lynn Heaton, 36, was found not guilty of first-degree sodomy, attempted first-degree rape and sexual abuse of a child under age 12. Jurors deliberated about 45 minutes before rendering their verdict in Circuit Judge J. Langford Floyd’s courtroom Wednesday. An additional charge of first-degree sodomy was dismissed, court records show.

“The Heaton family is extraordinarily relieved to put this nightmare behind them,” said defense attorney John Beck.

The girl alleged that the sexual abuse went on from about age 8 to age until 14, his attorney said. Beck said his client testified to the jury that he didn’t commit the crimes.”

Its seems as if the courts and judiciary protect pedophiles. *Hint* This is a disgrace, but no longer a surprise, as they are part of the problem.
