A “family friend” and neighbor, has been charged with the murder of the nine year-old girl he was babysitting last week.
Aliahna Lemmon’s family says Mike Plumadore, was a trusted family friend. He is also an ex-con.
Plumadore was watching Aliahna and her two sisters last Friday, but Aliahna ended up being murdered.
“Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries said Plumadore told investigators on Monday where the girl’s body could be found, ending the hopes of authorities that Aliahna would be found safe. “It did come to a horrible conclusion,” Fries told WANE-TV. “We have somebody in custody now who can pay the price for it.”
Plumadore has admitted to beating the child to death with a brick, cutting up her body, and stuffing her in bags that were discarded at several locations.
Plumadore lived in a mobile home park that authorities say is a “known haven for registered sex offenders.” Plumadore is not on Indiana’s registered sex offenders list, but he does have convictions for trespassing and assault.
Apparently, the girl’s mother had the flu and Aliahna’s stepfather works at night, and sleeps during the day. Aliahna and her sisters were sent to stay with Plumadore while the mother recovered from her illness.
I wouldn’t leave my dog with an ex-con, much less my child. Trespassing and assault convictions, resulting in prison time, are synonymous with someone who has no problem crossing boundaries, and who has severely assaulted another human being.
Sorry, but you will find no sympathy here, for any parent, who would leave their three young girls in the hands of a male ex-con. The parents obviously did not do a background check on “their friend,” or didn’t care about his criminal record.
If you are sick or need to sleep, and don’t have anyone else to watch your children, you suck it up and keep your children under your wing.
Plumadore, 39, is set to appear before a judge this morning.
