Fisher turned herself in and appeared in court on Monday, January 7, 2013.
“Fisher was in court Monday on new escape charges and could be facing additional charges down the road. WHAS11 had the chance to speak to her as she left court. When asked Fisher about the charges against her she said she was falsely accused and that she is innocent. Fisher tells WHAS11 News that she was camping by herself. She also says the allegations that she stole her roommate’s debit card are untrue.
When asked why she decided to turn herself in she said, “It would be easier on me.”
Fisher turned herself in overnight. The case is now set for trial in March. Fisher’s bond was set at $150,000.”
LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) — Charlestown Police are asking for help in finding a child molestation suspect they say cut off her home incarceration tracking device and fled.
35-year-old Juanita Fisher had been on home incarceration for the past year awaiting sentencing on charges of child molestation, criminal deviate conduct, vicarious sexual gratification, child solicitation, and obstruction of justice. She was arrested in August of 2011.
Fisher was scheduled to appear in Clark County Circuit Court today for sentencing as part of a plea deal. That plea deal is off now, and she will face an additional charge of escape.
Police say Fisher’s roommate called Charlestown Police about nine this morning saying that Fischer had cut off her tracking device and stolen her credit card before fleeing.
Police believe she is with her husband, Joshua Cox.
