I was fifteen years-old when thirteen year-old Samantha Gaily was raped and sodomized by Roman Polanski. I was also a resident of the State of California, and as a resident, I was a plaintiff in the case. I want Roman Polanski to serve his sentence. I am very happy that Samantha has forgiven him for his crime, but as a previous victim of rape, and as a plaintiff in the case of The People of the State of California vs. Roman Polanski, I want justice served.
According to Samantha’s Grand Jury testimony, Polanski lured her (sexual perpetrator grooming) into trusting him, and into thinking she would receive something beneficial, by telling her that he wanted to take her picture, ‘just like the women in Vogue Magazine.’
At first Polanski photographed Samantha outdoors near her parent’s home and then he got her to go with him to the home of Jack Nicholson where he had her pose without her top on, gave her champagne and qualudes, and coerced Samantha with more photography. He got her into the jacuzzi with him where she posed naked for more photos.
After Samantha was feeling high, Polanski got naked in the jacuzzi so she realized that he was after more than just photos. Samantha was afraid of him, and they were alone in the house. At one point she tried to go home, using asthma as an excuse, but Polanski began to rape her vaginally. Then, according to Samantha’s testimony, the sick son of a bitch realized that he could get his victim pregnant and finished his crime by raping her anally. 1
